We have an exciting opportunity with an organization that has multiple locations in California. The Director of Credit & Collection is a critical member of the management team, and is responsible for managing collection and dispute activities, and continuously improving internal c&c processes. Some of the essential functions of the role include:



  • Developing plans focused on reducing AR balances through innovative methods and process improvement.



  • Maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the credit & collections department and establishing appropriate metrics to monitor and measure the customer credit review processes.



  • Managing the aging on past due accounts to achieve established targets.



  • Utilizing monthly financial and budgetary data to improve profitability and organizational growth.



  • Delegating tasks and accountability parameters for direct reports at all branch locations.



  • Conducting routine branch visits, staff meetings and conference calls with team members to discuss performance goals/outcome, effectiveness, improvements and developments.



  • Monitoring staff labor hours, employee turn-over, and ensuring that payroll and budgetary expenditures remain within established financial limits.



  • Ensuring that all direct reports have a clear understanding of their individual job duties, management expectations, and required contributions.



  • Ensuring that state and federal regulations and requirements are adhered to.



  • Traveling locally and out-of-state as needed to attend trade shows, quarterly management meetings, and on-site staff meetings at other branches.





Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field



  • 8+ years of industry related experience working in a fast paced environment



  • Strong background in credit & collections



  • Proficient with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint



  • Ability and willingness to travel 20% of the time
